Thank you, thank you, thank you Substack subscribers!!! I cannot begin to express how grateful I am to each of you, both for your financial support, but also for your occasional messages of encouragement. Many of these have felt like they have been divinely appointed. Your simple texts and emails of support have been used very often by the Holy Spirit to speak peace into my heart. They have inspired me to keep on keeping on!
I am so very grateful to Reverend David Roseberry for telling me about Substack. I presently have 556 subscribers, which is amazing! My conversations with David have taught me how occasional articles will allow me to keep in touch with folks back home but will also allow for a very practical way in which you can help fund my ministry. I am therefore inviting those of you who already follow me to help in two simple but powerful ways:
1. Become a paid subscriber ($8/month) to provide tangible support for my ministry. Every contribution helps sustain the work I am doing in Madagascar, and even this modest amount makes an enormous difference here. You can find the link here:
2. Share this message with your friends, fellow church members, and anyone who believes in the mission of spreading the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Invite them to follow my Bishop Substack Page. Here is one link that introduces my episcopal missionary ministry in Mahajanga. Missionary Bishop - Who would have thought!!
My election has been controversial within the Anglican world because I come from the ACNA. At the highest levels of international church politics people have opposed my consecration, the sad result is that some of the Anglican Communion help is no longer available, and so I am relying on your help to make up the difference.
Thank you for your prayers, thank you for your financial support, thank you for your messages of encouragement!

I am saddened (unfortunately not surprised) to hear about the related Anglican church politics. This is not of the Holy Spirit while your presence there certainly is! Thank you for sharing. When you require funding over and above the subscriptions, please do not feel shy to ask.
Hi, Bishop Darrell. I have been following your Substack and have been touched by how the Holy Spirit is at work in your life. When God called, you said "yes!" That's very inspiring to me. When I first read of your accepting nomination for Bishop in Madagascar, I thought you were crazy! But when I read of how your heart felt the stirring of God's call, I recognized the work of the Holy Spirit! I am sorry we aren't in a position to support your work financially, but we are praying for a continued outpouring of the Holy Spirit in your ministry there. God bless you and the clergy and people you serve! Shirley & Armin, Anglican Parish of Upper Island Cove, East NL.
